◆ The shop
A family business on Highway 39.
B&L Specialties is a family-run shop on the west side of Blackfoot, Idaho. We sell electric dirt bikes and Traxxas RC — and we do the assembly, the setup and the after-the-sale conversations ourselves.
Two things, done properly
Plenty of shops carry a bit of everything. We carry two things: electric dirt bikes from Arctic Leopard USA, 79Bike Electric and Rerode, and Traxxas RC as an authorized dealer. Keeping the range narrow is what lets us keep parts on the shelf and give a straight answer about what suits a particular rider.
The case for buying locally
It is straightforward: you can see the bike before you buy it, have it set up correctly, and talk to someone who knows the product. An online crate cannot do any of those three.
The same logic applies to RC. A truck that breaks on a Saturday needs a part that exists nearby, not a shipping estimate.
Straightforward advice
If a bike is not the right size or power for the rider, we will say so. Selling a twelve-year-old something they cannot hold up at a stop is a good way to end up with a bike that gets ridden twice, and it is not a sale worth making.
- See it before you buy
- Compare sizes and fit on the floor, and check parts against what you are replacing.
- Assembled and inspected
- Bikes arrive crated. They are built, torqued and checked in the shop before they leave.
- Straightforward advice
- If a bike is not the right size or power for the rider, we will say so.
Who runs B&L Specialties?
B&L Specialties is a family-run shop in Blackfoot, Idaho. The same people who sell the bikes are the ones who assemble and inspect them and who answer the phone.
What does B&L Specialties sell?
Two things: electric dirt bikes from Arctic Leopard USA, 79Bike Electric and Rerode, and Traxxas RC vehicles, parts and batteries as an authorized Traxxas dealer.
Why buy locally instead of ordering online?
You can compare fit before you buy, the bike is assembled and inspected rather than arriving as a crate, and if something needs adjusting later you can bring it back to the people who built it.
